The Debugging Facility
APPX provides a debugging and testing tool, called the statement debugger, that allows you to step through the execution of any ILF routine and analyze how specific field values are affected by each statement. This tool is very helpful in resolving logic errors within an application. You control when and where the debugger operates by setting and clearing traps to examine sections of an ILF routine that you suspect may contain logic errors. The debugger also allows you to modify field values and monitor the effect of such changes on subsequent processing.
